Comfort Communities has purchased Flamingo Mobile Home Park, a 107-homesite manufactured housing community in Glendale, Ariz. MAR Communities sold the property for $12.9 million, Maricopa County public records show. The same source reveals that the buyer took out a $6.4 million loan—originated by Berkadia Commercial Mortgage and maturing in 2033—to finance the acquisition. HARRI5 brokered the deal.
Flamingo Mobile Home Park is a pet-friendly, all-age manufactured housing community at 5002 W. Bethany Home Road that includes both for sale and for rent homes, with full-hookup RV sites. Common-area amenities encompass a swimming pool, a clubhouse, boat and RV storage, laundry facilities, and an on-site sales office. Additionally, the 1958-built property went through several upgrades over the past few years, including improvements to all the community’s roads, security systems and swimming pool.
The approximately 10-acre property is close to multiple bus stations, providing easy access to interstates 10 and 17, as well as retailers such as Circle K, Walmart, The Home Depot and others. Flamingo Mobile Home Park is 8 miles from downtown Phoenix and within 12 miles of Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport.
Other investors are also expanding their Phoenix-area manufactured housing footprint. Recently, Inland Venture Partners purchased Leisure Valley , a manufactured housing community totaling 125 RV sites in Casa Grande, Ariz. The investment was made through the company’s MH Ventures Fund II.
